The Tiger - A Master of Stealth and Strength

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is a symbol of power and grace, revered in cultures worldwide. With its iconic orange coat and bold black stripes, the tiger is built for stealth, blending seamlessly into the dense forests and grasslands it inhabits.

Tigers are solitary hunters, relying on their keen senses and immense strength to ambush prey like deer, boars, and even water buffalo. They are powerful swimmers and often cool off in rivers or ponds, a behavior unique among big cats.

Sadly, all tiger subspecies are endangered due to habitat destruction and illegal poaching. Programs such as wildlife reserves and anti-poaching efforts are critical to ensuring their survival. A tiger’s roar can travel up to 3 kilometers (2 miles), but their numbers in the wild continue to dwindle—a haunting reminder of the importance of conservation.
